Hayes was a four time first or second-team All-NFL selection. He led the Cowboys in receptions three times. He finished his career with 7,414 receiving yards and 71 touchdowns. Hayes also won two gold medals in the 1964 Olympics. Hays was dubbed the “World’s Fastest Human” for his efforts. Hayes was a seventh round future pick in the 1964 NFL Draft. He was also tabbed as a future choice by the AFL’s Denver Broncos.

Born December 19, 1964, in Phoenix, Arizona McDaniel was an All-Pro selection nine straight years during the 90’s (1990-98). He was picked to play in a record 12 straight Pro Bowl games (1990-2001). McDaniel was extremely durable, starting 202 straight games. McDaniel blocked for six 1,000 yard rushers and five 3,000 yard passers in his career.

The NFL’s career sackmaster, Smith racked up 200 during his career. Smith had 10 or more sacks in 13 straight seasons which is an NFL record. Smith was named to the NFL’s All-Decade Teams for the 1980’s and 1990’s. Smith was a first or second-team All-Pro 11 times and a Pro Bowl selection 11 times. He was a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year (1990, 1996). Smith was the first player taken in the 1985 draft.

Derrick Thomas

Thomas had more sacks than any NFL player in the 90’s with 116.5 career sacks. He recorded 126.5 career sacks. Thomas set an NFL record that still stands when he recorded seven sacks in a game against the Seattle Seahawks on November 11, 1990. He was an All-NFL selection three times and an All-AFC pick seven times. Thomas holds the Kansas City team record for sacks in a year with 20. He was the fourth player taken in the 1989 draft and was named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year after recording 10 sacks in his first campaign. Thomas was named to the NFL All-Decade team for the 1990’s. Thomas died in an automobile accident on February 8 of 2000.

Ralph Wilson Jr.

One of the original owners in the American Football League, Wilson formed the Buffalo Bills in 1959. Wilson became the President of the six-team AFL and was a key figure in the NFL-AFL merger. Before the merger, Wilson helped keep the Oakland Raiders afloat with a loan when that team was on the brink of collapse. During his tenure, the Bills won two AFL Championships (1964-65) and made four straight Super Bowl appearances from 1990-93. Buffalo record 103 wins during the 90’s, second only to the San Francisco 49’ers total.

Woodson played 17 years and recorded 71 interceptions, 2,362 punt return yards and 17 touchdowns. Woodson was selected to the NFL All-Decade Team for the 1990’s and was also named to the NFL’s 75th Anniversary Team in 1994. He was also the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year in 1993. He was a six-time first-team All-Pro pick and earned All-Pro honors as a cornerback, kick returner and safety. Woodson was selected to 11 Pro Bowls during his career.
